THANE, 14 September 2024: Thane, the Culturally Rich City, is all set to celebrate Navratri
and Durga Pujo. The focus of celebrations for Thaneites will be Thane’s very own event,
Raas Rang Thane – 2024. The event which was set up under the guidance of the Hon’ble
Maharashtra Chief Minister back in 2017, continues to be blessed with Eknath ji Shinde’s
best wishes.
All set to enhance the lifestyle quotient of Thane to the next level, Raas-Rang Thane 2024 is
back along with the usual high-octane festive fervor.
This year, the much-awaited Navratri Festival event is presented by CREDAI-MCHI Thane,
the Ashar Group and in collaboration with JansevaPratisthan; from 03 October to 12
October.
“The venue this year is new – Octroi Ground Kopri Thane, Near Hariom Nagar, Eastern
Express Highway, Thane (W),” said Jitendra Mehta, President, CREDAI MCHI Thane.
"The Aarti will be at 7 pm daily, and this year too, we will have the presence of Bollywood
and Television Celebrities," he added.
“The flavor of Navratri will overwhelm Thane, with its electric vibe, as participants dress up in
their most colourful and ethnic best for each day’s event,” added Manish Khandelwal, Hon.
Secretary, CREDAI MCHI Thane. "As always, the event will be graced by IAS and IPS
officers presence, while the live telecast will be on a select satellite Channel; while many
local cable Networks will also cover the event," he added.

The event gets its auspicious start on 17 September 2024, when the venue’s Bhumi Pujan
will be held at the venue at 10 am, followed by a media conference at 11.45 am.
Expected to have over 12,000 visitors and revellers for the nine nights of celebrations and
fervor, presented by CREDAI-MCHI Thane and the Ashar Group in collaboration with
JansevaPratisthan, Raas-Rang Thane 2024 will enchant with a Melodious Ensmeble
featuring Bollywood Dhol Kings Hanif, Aslam and Umesh Barot.
The event will also see enchanting and soulful singers Dravita Choksi Oberoi, Firoz
Ladka, Heli Majmudar and Rupali Kashyap.
The performances will offer participants memories to last a lifetime.
In its earlier Avataars, Raas-Rang Thane has played a major role in enhancing the image of
Thane City, The Festive Event had been a show-stopper in Thane’s cultural set-up; with
huge crowds attending the same, giving the event unprecedented success in the initial
years. This year, the event has been planned and is being organized with due care, keeping
in mind the various challenges, including ensuring a safe and healthy environment for
participants. The venue will have a wooden platform for revellers covering one lakh square
feet area, 200-plus security bouncers and will be held under CCTV coverage - and, for any
contingencies, a Doctor will be on hand to provide first aid.
The festive event has seen not just Thaneites, but also Mumbaikars and residents from
across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) participate in and enjoy the event. This
year’s festive event promises an encore!
Back as a bigger and better celebration, and with a new venue, Raas-Rang Thane 2024 will
be a gala event for one and all – be it the Goddess’ devotees or those who express their
festive fervor, all will experience the 10 nights of devotion, prayers, dance, fun and
celebrations like never before. This year, the event will see artists and attractions galore.

Heli Majmudar - An artist, being an anchor and a singer, her talent is showcased across 3 major cities -Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Apart from this creative side she is also a businesswoman, handling one of the known stores of Vadodara called BAY90 at O P Road and Karelibaug, Vadodara.
Rupali Kashyap - is the famous Assamese Professional Singer, Live Performer and famed for composing many famous songs on MAA Durga.
